Construction of Reversible Motor
These are capacitor-start, capacitor-run, squirrel cage single phase & three phase motors. The RPM available are 1440/2880 and with gearbox, speed can be very low. Depending upon requirement for the connection, motors have lead wires or terminal Box.
These are actually Induction Motors fitted with continuously applied Internal Brake to minimize overrun after power supply is cut off.
Suitable for short duty operation. These motors have lesser overrun or quick reversal of direction of rotation. The direction of rotation can be reversed easily.
