Construction of Induction Motor
These are capacitor-start, capacitor-run, squirrel cage single phase & three phase motors. The RPM available are 1440/2880 and with gearbox, speed can be very low. Depending upon requirement for the connection, motors have lead wires or terminal Box.
Suitable for continuous operation, these motors rotate in clockwise or anti clockwise direction. The direction of rotation can be reversed easily. Due to inertia, shaft has overrun of few rotations.
